We went to our first CPE Agility Trial and had a BLAST.
I entered Magnum in Level 1. She did not Q in Jackpot (she wouldn't run to the table, I had to go with her) but she still got a 1st place. She got 1st and Q in Colors, she got 1st and Q in Wildcard. She got first and Q in Snooker. The Q's in Wildcard and Colors earned her first CPE title... CTL1-H. They gave her a really big rosette for the title. She was a happy girl.
Ruger was entered in Level 2. He got 1st and Q in Standard. 1st and Q in Jackpot. 1st and Q in Snooker. And another 1st and Q in Standard on Saturday.
Mom was my photographer so we didn't get many good shots (she just can't get them in focus, oh well)...

Beautiful ribbons. Weird that the Qs are rossettes and the placements are just flats. :-\
I'm not familar with CPE. So if this is your first CPE trial, how can Ruger start at L2. Don't you have to start at the beginning level or are they grandfathering in titles from other venues?

Lydia, you can start your dog in Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3. Since I am using this for Magnum to have some fun play, I opted to start her in Level 1 "Enthusiast" (which is like Preferred, she can jump lower heights, I jumped her at 16"). I wanted to start at Level 1 so she'd have many more opportunities to play without it getting terribly competitive.
Since Ruger is doing Open level and we are almost in Excellent Level (need one more AKC leg) I put him in Level 2. I could have put him in Level 3. I looked at those courses and they weren't hard at all.
