No drop during the first trial. I gave his second "drop" command to get the correction since we already failed. By the time of the second trial, Scotty had as much energy as a boiled chicken. He did decent on all of the exercises except the broad jump, which he walked (first time for him). I told my friend Cori that I did not want to do stays with Scotty because I was afraid he'd go down on the sit, which he did. Grrrrrr...... is all that I can say.
Oh! I'm sorry!
4 trials in one weekend is a lot. I'm sure you were both exhausted by the fourth one... How frustrating, though.

Ah shoot, that's too bad. Sounds like Scotty was a little beat. Overall, it sounds like you guys do well more often than not though!
Hang in there ........... open is much tougher than novice. (Took us alot of trials to get our CDX),

Tagen, yes, we do qualify/win more often than not. Usually these two day/4 trial UKC events take too much of Scotty's energy so by the second day, he's no good.
Linda, it took us 5 trials to get Scotty's AKC CDX. I hope we won't have to do much more than that for his U-CDX.
Bummer. Just another example of why they call it the heart break class. :-\

That is a lot for a dog. That is why I have been working to get Caleb use to that kind of show weekends. It is stressful for them and a lot of work being in the ring that much. But, they do get better. Does sound like you got some good training in which is always good when one has blown the trial!

Oh too bad!!! I think even 2 days in a row, 1 trial a day, is tough on the dogs. You know how it went for us in our 2nd trial.
You guys will get it though...no doubt there.
5 trials to get his CDX.
Come here girl and let me smack you silly!!! ;D ;D ;D
It took Ruger and I -- 17 trials to get his CDX.
We are already three for three (no Q's) in Utility. I expect it will take us as long, or longer to finish his UD.
Sorry you had a meltdown, but otherwise it sounds like you did pretty well over the weekend.
