We took Gabs to Springfield for one day of a trial (I would have loved to do the whole thing, but school is killing me and I don't think she has the stamina for it yet).
She got second in Novice A- a third of the class broke their stays to investigate a barking dog in the rally ring but not Gabby! We do have to work on the lagging though. Oddly enough- the lagging was worse on leash than off. She was good all in all though.
Rally was a little more difficult. They gave out squeaky toys as prizes in the class before..and someone was throwing a dumbbell next to the ring...you get the picture- one "live wire" as the judge put it. She ended up 4th
We only have a few pictures of Novice and then Gabs with her loot.
Congrats! Is that blue lab a trinket box - is it decoupage or handpainted?
That is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a nice day!

Congrats..sounds like a good day..I find the often on lead heeling is worse the off lead..off lead the dog has to think more for themselves about where they are and what they are doing..on lead..they don't have to think as much because the lead will tell them where they need to be if they get of track ie with a tight leash etc
Awesome! Congrats and nice loot too!
Yay Gabby!!! Waita hold that stay, show those delinquents a thing or two.
Baloo - 5 year old black lab

I almost went down to Springfield (I'm assuming it is Springfield, IL) for the conformation shows but ended up having to work today and knew I couldn't enter obedience/rally as girls were due in season (and are indeed coming in right now).
Maybe we'll meet up somewhere in the future.
