    DefaultStupid Noob question

Just checked the judging schedule for Tillsonburg, our next set of trials (6 in total)

There was a judge change, and now the one judge is judging us 3 times. And two other judges are splitting the remaining three trials.

If Ruby NQ's under the other three judges, and Q's under the same judge three times, I understand she wouldn't get her title.

BUT there is a blurb at the bottom of the schedule that reads

A qualifying score earned under a substitute judge will be considered as having earned under the advertised judge.
So does that mean even though we are under the same judge for three legs, she would get her title?

Sounds like it, but yowzers I do not know if I would want to take that chance! I'd almost want to check with the superintendent AND AKC about that!

Melissa and Felicia, from my understanding of the Canadian rules, yes it would count because you entered when the other judge was advertised. It was not through fault of yours that there was a judging change that would give you the same judge over again.

Well that's cool. I imagine (or at least hope) if they didn't allow it they would refund your money.

Oh honey, we are a long long ways off before we compete in open, if at all. My girl has zero desire to retrieve anything, let alone a dumbell, let alone give it to me...

So, how do you think people who have dogs that are not retrievers get into Open, Utility and beyond? You can teach a dog to retrieve. Most dogs are not natural retrievers.

I agree. We have a woman competing in Open with a Greyhound out here. Sight hounds are definitely not retrievers.
