I have 1 rally adv. A leg. If I were to get Moose's CD wouldn't that mean I would have to compete in B? If I wait and don't finish his Rally Adv until next year, would I enter B and my 1 leg of A would still count?
All of this is predicated of course on us actually getting our CD...

From the AKC Obedience Regulations:
"The Novice A Class shall be for dogs that have not won the CD title. A handler must own the dog entered, or be a member of the owner’s household or immediate family, and may not have previously handled any dog that has earned an AKC Novice, Open, or Utility title. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class."
You can have the most advanced Rally title and still will go into Novice A unless you have handled a prior dog to an AKC CD. In short, you'll still enter Novice A.
Are you asking if you get Moose's CD, what Rally Advanced class would you enter?
Because at that point, I think you enter Rally Adv. B- but your A leg still counts.

Yes, you are safe in to enter Rally A until he gets that CD. After that, you have to go to B. If in doubt, I'd just enter B. -Anne

yes all your Advanced legs will count from A and B. Also you remain in A classes in all trials that have already closed. So if you would have gotten a CD this weekend and were already entered in shows next weekend you would stay in A. If the show has NOT reached its closing date then you move to Advanced B. Almost everything in AKC is based on closing dates for shows.
