    DefaultWeekend Agility Results (pics)

What a bad weekend we had. Two day before the trial Ruger took a nickle sized piece of his paw pad off. He was majorly owchy!. Saturday Standards was first. I popped him over the warmup jump and he was on three legs. I smothered his pad with EMT Gel and tried to run him anyway. I was so concerned about his foot that I got lost on the course TWICE. I was really expecting to get whistled off by the judge for my dog being lame, but everyone watching us said you could hardly tell he was lame (although I COULD tell). No Q.

I scratched him from the afternoon jumpers.

We got up early and went back on Sunday. Jumpers was first thing in the morning and I scratched. I really wanted to try for that last Q in Open Standard. His foot was much better. I had given him Rimadyl before the trial as well.

We ran a nice course but he popped out of the weaves not once but TWICE. We will be working on weaves. Otherwise he had a great run and wasn't very sore at all.

On a side note Remington did very well at the trial as well. The first day he barked a lot. Sunday he was perfectly fine and relaxed. He traveled well too (2 hrs each way, four hours total in the car each day).

    Here's just a few pics.

    The dog walk...

The tire (I was doing a front cross here)

Not the best shot, but I liked his foot work here in the weaves...

Oh Linda...I'm sorry. I was really hoping he would be back at 100% so you could get that last leg. You know, I think he may be laughing at you in the weave picture though.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes they heal up so fast, and others, well....
I was luckier this time--- Mata's cold tail was nearly completely gone by this am (48 hrs). Jazz is still licking her paw (rattler bite) but I think for the most part, it's healed too. Rough week(s).

Lydia, he wasn't laughing, he just smiles the whole time we play. He loves running with me, his tail goes and he has this gleam in his eye

Sorry to hear about Ruger's foot. Pray it does get better. Glad Sunday was better but still that his foot continues to improve.
