I've been taking the dogs to my son's swimming and will train while he swims. I figure it gives me good distractions and socialization in addition to the training.
Last night I took just Moose to work on heeling in preparation for this weekends show. He was so on last night that I added in some of the advanced routine just in case we do that on Sunday. He did great. In addition I set up a figure 8 and did some down and sit stays.
After we were done I went back to the car to get my jacket and a Dad asked if he was my dog and I said yes. And then he asked me if I was a dog trainer and I just smiled and said no. Just work with my dogs.
I have to admit it felt pretty good!

Congrats!!!! I bet you felt great! ;D
I took Grace to PetSmart the other day and we sat at the crosswalk and then heeled to the car, and this man was carrying his yap dog, and said "I wish I could get mine to do that". I responded "with all the training we do, she had better do it!" LOL
Very nice compliment.
I usually get "will you train my dog" : Uh, no...I barely have time for my own.
Good for you! I know that made you feel great.
I always get people wanting me to train their dogs too. I love training agility, but I don't really like training obedience... people just don't get it and they want shortcuts.
;D ;D ;D
