I officially started Remington's training today. I'm going to make an effort to work him a little bit each day. Today we worked on Stay and Heel. Heeling was so cute. He poinged along like a pogo stick at first, it was funny. Stay took a few corrections but he was really catching on and at the end of our little session he was sitting, staying, and letting me walk all around him.
Hopefully he'll catch on quickly to the exercises.
Oh Linda, that is so fun! Will help keep your mind off you Mom a little, too. It is always so fun starting with a puppy. With Utility in mind, I bet you'll do some things different than what you did with Ruger. That is what is so fun about dog training, you're always learning cause each one is so different. Have fun! Remember to give your Mom my love!

Linda - I love your new picture - Remington is growing up quickly. He is a beautiful dog. Susan is right - there is always something new to learn and to try. Years ago one of the early instructors I had when my pup Doro was young said I would make all my mistakes on him and any pup after that would benefit. At the time I thought it was a terrible thing to say but in retrospect I understand what the message was. I hope you enjoy your new adventure with Remington. Betsy

He doesnt' look like a little puppy anymore does he. I can't believe how quickly they grow up. Seems like he is going to be a "good learner"
