What a weekend! We're exhausted! Utility on Saturday had its good points. His heeling was right on but came in on the signals again. As Linda said, MS we lost only 1/2 point. With that improving, I have hope!!!! Go outs he at least ran around out by the gating before he came in! We'll get there.
Open B was good. We lost 1/2 point on each exercise! I still can't believe we took HIT!!! I'll take a picture of the bowl and post it. What a nice trophy! It happens to be the kennel club his handler is on the board of, so in a way that made the win really nice.
When we were getting our picture taken the judge was remarking on the difference in Caleb in Utility and then in Open. She said it's definately a confidence issue. As so many others have told me, be patient and it'll come all together for us. Gee, I'm so sleepy I keep making more typos than I usually do.
Linda, sorry about your NQ. Thanks for posting for me.
Breed stunk today. Everyone was complaining about the dog the judge put up. Very very fieldy. So, Caleb's breed days are going to be much more limited if at all.

WHOO WHOO !! CONGRATS SUSAN AND CALEB!!!
Congratulations on the HIT AND the continued improvement in UA. The pieces are definitely coming together.
Congrats on the HIT! Sounds like Utility is getting better every time!
Congrats on a nice weekend
Susan - WOW!! You are making this HIT thing a common occurrence which of course makes it look easy which of course it is not. I am thrilled for you - how exciting. And isn't it interesting that the judge noticed the difference - sometimes I think the judges don't really "see" the person or dog - they are just watching for mistakes. Good to know that at least sometimes they are seeing both handler and dog. I know that Utility will only get better and better and soon that UD will be after Caleb's name. Betsy

Congrats Susan and Caleb... another HIT!!!
I've not even been able to work Ruger lately. With all the stuff going on with my mom, I've just not been able to do any training at all. Remington still only knows sit (although he can do all the contact obstacles in agility... but I want to work on obedience with him too... just don't have the time these days).
Looks like our next show will be a long while away. I'm going to wait until after mom's surgery and then see how things go.
You and Caleb are doing so great!!! I'm really proud of all your accomplishments so far ;D
YAY SUSAN AND CALEB!!! WHOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!
Congrats to you two for a job well done!
Big Congratulations! Was this the show in Pittsburg?
