    DefaultNew Obedience Jacket

When I was in South Carolina, Monnie, Linda and I walked around to look at the vendors while we were waiting for the Novice classes to finish up. Saw "Sew What" had a booth there and told Monnie and Linda about a jacket I had ordered at the IX Center shows (they're set upu right across from us so I get to stare at their stuff for four days!). They both wanted to see pictures of the jacket when it came. Well, when we got home, it had arrived while we were down there! Finally, here are some pictures. Now, realize I do like black. Actually, I picked out the color cause Caleb's hair would show up the best on it! ;D

Wow, Susan, I really like that. I didn't really look at them when we were at the show, but now I'm impressed. Very nice. Is the jacket lightweight or does it have a liner?

It's more light weight. No liner. I wanted it cause it is water resistant. Not waterproof but resistant. Lew's golf jacket is the same material and it has held up wonderfully.

Very nice! Did you get to design it?

I know I love my Lab jacket. It is heavier than yours though. It has a sweatshirt material lining so it stays toasty. The only thing I don't like is that it has the elastic at the bottom so it tightens right around my widest part. : I prefer the style of your jacket...more like a parka or anorak style.

Did they tell you how to clean it? I've lost my instructions. I'm afraid to wash mine. I wonder if the jacket color (purple) will run on to the embroidary. :-\

Susan - Your jacket is great looking - is it from Patworks from the I-X? You are right about Caleb's hair showing up on it. If I put on black or navy the pups have to be sure I get some of their hair before I leave the house. If if have on khaki - no interest. B

No, it's from Sew What. Did you ever get Terry's obedience design from Patworks? I never did get an e-mail from her about it.

Lydia, I would probably dry clean it just to be safe or cold water gentle. I'll have to see what the cleaning instructions are on mine and get back with you.

    That's terrific! Very nice!

I heard that if you soak embroidered sweatshirts/jackets/etc. in vinegar-water, it "sets" the dye so it doesn't bleed? Does anyone know if that's true?
