is another NQ!! : I am pleased with Kona though. He has worked well and has a good attitude. I showed under Phyliss Broderick (Susan, remember she was between us in All Stars for Rally) and she and I had a few giggles and laughs.

Signals ........... NQ didn't put his elbows down and started to sit up and I gave a verbal 2nd command.

    Article 1 ............. 2 points

    Article 2 .............. 3 points

Directed retrieve ...............3 points Poor pivot to glove one. I think Kona is over anxious to retrieve (who'd thought!!) and stops the pivot short.

    Moving stand ....................... 1 Point

Directed jumps ............. NQ Go outs were to the left but all the way across the ring. The first jump he got distracted by an Aussie in the next ring and kept his head turned to the right while he was running to the jump. Phyliss and I both thought he was going to hit the jump full force. ;D He looked just in time. The second jump he didn't move with the first command and I gave him a second command and stepped tooward the jump.

For the next 6 weeks we'll be disecting the exercises and then put them back together for the beginning of March.

Yes, I do remember Phyllis. She's doing some judging in western PA later this year and I told Lew might go just once to show under her.

    Sorry about the NQ.

Hey, how are your new lessons going? Haven't heard anything about them.

I've only had the one private lesson and one group lesson last week. Pat wanted me to put out alot of distractions for the go-outs last week but I didn't, with a show coming up on Saturday. Didn't wat to mess things up royally right before we showed. We won't show again until the first weekend in March and we can work on pieces and put it back together.

I did work on random sits and field whistle sits last week with good results. I also am working on faster sits when heeling and better finishes by moving before Kona fully sits (like a pivot for glove #3) and tell him heel again.

Awww darn. You guys are so close now. You have a lot of time to work on stuff between now and March so I predict that March will be your lucky month. ;D

    Sorry about the NQ's.

I met Phyllis Broderick a couple of years ago. She was going to be judging a match and stopped in at class for something. Evidently, she doesn't live all that far from me.
