    DefaultFriday Night Utility Run-Thru

Just got back from a run-thru with Caleb. We did Utility first and wouldn't you know, he decided to walk in when I gave him the drop signal! Shocking! The man who does the run-thrus use to be a judge and I think has had an OTCh but he told me to run in and do some type of correction. Boy was Caleb surprised! We did three more sets just fine!

Articles were great! Gloves great. Moving Stand--he actually stayed during the exam!!! WHOO HOO!

On the go-outs he hooked right some but I gave him the opposite jump and he did it.

Also did an Open run-thru just for fun. It was just my friend and I who showed up so we had the whole night to ourselves. Really good work session!

Sounds like a good run-thru. I will run back at Ruger and make him stay as well. I have to do this sometime on the go-outs as well, he'll turn to sit and then if he's stressing he'll start walking forward. I usually run toward him and he sits before I even get there now ;D

    When is your next show?

That was the first time he's done it in training, so I was soooooooooo happy to get that correction in!

Two weeks from this past Thursday and Friday. Will be thinking about you two tomorrow!

What this man did with the articles was really interesting--he put them all on end in a tight, little pile with the scented on right in the middle. He told me he was quite impressed that Caleb just kept working.

You mean stand them up on the end of the dumbbell? Wow. That's a good idea!

Yes. He had them all on end! Just another thing to proof and for them to use their minds to problem solve.
