    DefaultUtility in the Park

Got up early this morning and hauled Ruger to a local park and playground. I set up right next to the little playground area where little kids were swinging on the swings.

At first Ruger was terrible. But as we kept working he got better. His go-outs were good. I think all but two would have Q'd. His scent articles were perfect and we did three of them. Heeling was sucky, but probably passable... the gating blew down at one point right next to him and didn't even faze him. Signals were okay, but his down was r e a l l y slow Stand for exam was perfect. Gloves were remarkably perfect, we did all three of them. On #3 he would not mark it but was looking toward #1 with his nose up in the air scenting something... but when I sent him he miraculously ran immediately to #3... and silly boy tried to pick it up but was standing on it.. but he figured that out quickly and brought it back.

All in all a good practice session for us.. .with an audience to boot

I am hoping to haul him someplace different each day this week. That will really blow his little mind

It sounds like its coming together for you. I love the standing on the glove scenario. Murray has done that too. You know what they say...big feet, big heart. ;D
