Larkspur's Essence RN CGC
My daughter did great handling Essy.* Their heeling was beautiful and many people commented on how pretty they looked together (cast and all).* Essy, however, did not want to do 2 stations.* First was call front 1,2,3 steps backward.* She kept doing a swing finish to heel instead of sitting in front. They retried it 3 times with no luck.* Then came the call front, finish right, halt.* Again, she refused to go right.* I watched Meghan carefully and she was very clearly, even exaggeratedly, giving the signal to finish to the right but Essy continued to go left. She was so proud of her swing finishes too.* It was like she was saying "I know what you want.* Watch this?"* She would pop up in the air, plop her butt down, and wag her tail like crazy.* They ended up with a score of 82 which I still can't figure out.* They IPd 2 stations by my count so that's a max score of 80 plus any other errors (like tight leash or whatever).* Maybe the judge forgot the one station was finish right, not left.* Oh well, it was enough to finish their title.* They looked so cute getting their picture taken.

Meghan, you and Essy have a lot to be proud of. You've done a great job with her. Congratulations on your new title. Now on to Rally Advanced.

Wonderful! Congrats to Meghan and Essy. Emilu LOVES to finish left also, and has a very lively jumps up and swing around into place. I really have to be very calm and tell her quietly but firmly to "finish" (which means right to us). If I want a "swing" finish I say it in my "squirrel" voice. ( the voice I use to alert the dogs to squirrels in the yard)
Congrats to them both
Congrats Meghan!!! You look so proud in the picture. I am SO happy for you and Essy. Keep up the great work!!
Essy, it sounds like you have been taking some goofy lessons from Murray!!
