    DefaultMy Great Obedience Dog

We had a church picinic yesterday and we took Caleb. After we ate, I gave his leash to Lew so I could go to the bathroom and wash all the chicken off my hands before I began to work him. On my way back to them, Caleb caught sight of me and lunged three times and on the third time pulled Lew over in his chair sideways to get to me! Lew held on to the leash and actually got in a slight correction. Caleb hit the deck and crawled back to Lew and even rolled over on his back! First of all I could not believe that Caleb was able to pull Lew over and second the quick response he had to Lew's correction! Moral of story--Lab can pull tall man over in a chair when they want to go for something! ;D ;D ;D

Since Caleb pulled him over sideways, I don't think he had a chance to! It happened soooooooooo fast!!! He has stopped Caleb from lunging and coming to me before, but I just think it caught him by surprise. You know Caleb is a chunk and that low center of gravity!!!

I think part of it, too was that Lew was watching the volleyball game that was going on and not paying full attention to Caleb--that is dangerous with a Lab!!! LOL!

Oh my, yes! His handler is always "yelling" at me about it. When Bill shows him in breed, I cannot be anywhere close to the ring where he can smell me or see me!

I don't mean to laugh, but I can just picture it!!!

Was Lew in a lawn chair, those things tip sideways easy. Glad Lew got that correction in.

Hey, why wash the chicken off your hands... I bet the smell would be great for scent articles!!!

Careful, Lew. These momma's boys will do anything to get to their mommas. LOL
Susan, check out my photo in LC of Buddy going over his high jump. It is a thread call, "This is not how it's done."

Sorry to laugh. Ernie has done that to me a couple of times. I am small and not so far to fall, but you think after the first time I would learn.

Tell Lew to keep his mind on the job. ;D
