Our Kennel Club is hosting a fun match tomorrow. I was up at the fairgrounds today helping to set up rings. I ran into our "judge" for Utility A. I told her that Ruger isn't really ready yet and said... "Now, when I set him up for go-out's I want to walk across the ring and show him where to go for the first one, can I do that?"
She laughed and said, "I'm sure I will have my back turned then looking over your paperwork!"
We haven't been able to practice all week long because the guys from our Electric Coop have been on the property trimming trees plus it's been unbearably hot. So, I hope Ruger hasn't forgotten everything.
We are in Utility A at 11:00, and Open B after.
I'm sure you guys will do well.

FYI, you can discretely show Ruger the go out post when you are setting up for the moving stand. As you are heeling past (before the exercise starts), simply point to the stancion and say "go touch" or whatever your word is. This has helped immensely with Murray. Now in a real show, you may or may not being walking past the stancion before moving stand but if you are, take the cheat when available.
