    Default*Gulp* We're doing it!

I haven't dropped it off yet, but the new club where we are taking our obedience class is having a rally/obedience trail the first weekend in November. Unfortunately I can't get out of work Friday, so no possible RE legs for us, but we are going to enter Beginner Novice A on Saturday and Sunday.

We've been in the ring for rally before and have done really well, but I need to control myself mostly now. I have to cut out the unintentional extra movements, remember my footwork and get rid of the extra signals or commands. We have come pretty far with our sit for exam and stand for exam, but I'm nervous about it still. The judge we are showing under is who we earned two RA legs under (one was a score of 100) and it will be in the building we are already familiar with for classes. Hopefully this means we will do well!

    Fingers crossed

Oh no. Just Abbey and I. Kolby is my lazy boy who would rather sit on the couch than heel.

Good luck! The hardest part of BN for me was remembering not to talk to Caleb like I do in Rally.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.

You are very right. I talk to Abbey quite a bit in Rally, telling her "good heel" and things like that. I've been practicing keeping my mouth zipped when we practice at home - seems to be OK but it's definitely more difficult!

I was concerned about Caleb "shutting down" because I wasn't talking to him in BN. He's too smart- somehow he figured out that the difference between BN and rally. He shuts down in rally if I don't "chatter", but does fine in BN. Me? I shook like a leaf when I couldn't chatter! LOL

Yeah, I have been pretty worried about that as well. But I was happy to find out that you can praise and talk to them a little bit in between exercises.
