    SmileAPDT Rally Weekend

This weekend is a full weekend for us doing APDT Rally. We are working on our ARCHEX which requires 10 double Q's (with scores of at least 195) at level 2 and level 3. Yesterday, we got our first two legs. With scores of 203 & 207 and 204 and 195. I was very pleased with my guy. By that last run, he was pretty tired. It was a long day. There were supposed to be 2 judges and 2 rings going but one judge couldn't come at the last minute so there was only 1 judge to do it all!

We are going back today and there will be 2 judges and 2 rings going so things should move a bit faster.

What a great day, day 2 turned out to be!

It went much faster with two judges and we got our double Q's!

We got a 204 in Level 3 and 201 in Level 2-good for first and second place.

For our afternoon runs, we scored two perfect 210's! One each in level 2 and level 3!! Those were good for first place!

It was great to finish off on such a high note! I then, took Miles outside to go swimming in the pond. It was a beautiful day and he'd been gazing over at that pond all weekend!

Now,we have a few weekends off before our next trial. I hope you all had a good weekend!

Wondering why they score up to 210? Can you explain the scoring method?

Sounds like you had a fun weekend all around. Nice job.

    Hi Linda!

In APDT Rally, there are 200 points possible. You need 170 to qualify unless you are working on a championship, then the minimum scores must be higher. Then, there is always a 10 point bonus. You don't have to try it, but you can't NQ on it unless your dog runs out of the ring when you do. Everyone tries the bonus because there really is no reason not to.

That's cool. An easy way to get 10 extra points
