DefaultRuger's New Title! & Remington Results

Had a busy weekend with my boys.

Did a CPE trial on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday Remington had tunnel problems, again, we did manage to eek out a 1st place in Full House, no Q.

Ruger had 2 nice Standard runs for 1st and Q in both giving him his Standard Level 2 Title!!! Good boy Ruger!

    On Saturday...Ruger got a Q and 1st in Standard, and a Q and 1st in Jackpot and a 1st but no Q in Snooker.

Remington got a 1st and no Q in Snooker and had a really really great run at the end of the day in Jackpot with another 1st (no Q). I was very proud of his last run. He was very fast and didn't get stuck in the tunnels.

A big thank you to the judge, Lee Ann Zerbian. She dutifully dumped Remington out of the tunnels when he got stuck in there. She had me call him and she hit the outside of the tunnel and actually picked up the end of it and shook him out. God Bless her! That is exactly what Remington has needed.

On Sunday I hauled Remington to the AKC trial in Beaufort where we did the Novice Standard class. He had a very fast and fun run, got sucked into the tunnel, played around, I got him out and immediately sent him through it again and he shot out of it like a rocket. No Q, but a real crowd pleaser

    Two pictures from the weekend...

Sounds like a great fun weekend. I've got to figure out how you can place and still not Q in CPE. Might try CPE with both my young dog and my almost 10 year old. All my CPE friends tell me its really way more enjoyable than AKC. Pictures are terrific.

The same way you place but don't Q in USDAA. Anyone who Q's will place 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. If only one person Q's in your class they would get 1st & Q, then the next placing would be a NQ but 2nd, and then NQ but 3rd, etc.

I enjoy those shows much more, you have more incentive to show if you actually take home a ribbon. I wish AKC would give out placements to everyone as well.
