    DefaultSunday Agility Recap.. Remington ROCKS!

As you can tell by the title of this thread, I'm over the moon with Remington today!!! No Q's, but he was so wonderful. He didn't get sucked into any tunnel and he didn't play in any tunnel. It was lovely. Even on the Standard course where they had it set up to suck them into the tunnel, Remington listened to me and didn't get sucked (and some of the BC's did!!!).

In JWW he was too stinkin cute. He really really REALLY wanted to do the tunnel. The first sequence was tire, jump, weaves. The tunnel was #12 but it was located next to the tire jump. Remington was eyeing it from the start line but he headed to the weaves, then he veered back toward the tunnel, I pulled him back toward me, he once again ignored the weaves and headed back to the tunnel, and I once again called him back. He started the weaves then stepped out and just started barking at me. It was so funny. It was exactly like he was saying, "If I can't go do that tunnel, I'm not doing these weaves!!" So I compromised and we left the weaves to continue on course. The jumps circled back toward the tunnel and I had to pull him hard to the right to keep him with me. Then we he finally was heading for the tunnel (two jumps in a straight line to the tunnel) I yelled at him, "Yes! Go Get That Tunnel!" He shot over the jumps and zoomed into and OUT of the tunnel and we continued on course.

We didn't NQ due to tunnels. Dropped bars got us today because he was running so fast he was jumping low and flat. But that's okay with me. He really ROCKED.

I really believe if we had one more day of the trial, he'd Q. But alas, the trial is over. And I decided to keep him

Oh, and on a side note, all those folks who were so cat $hit mean to me at lunch the other day, every one of them made it a point to talk to me about how well Remington was handling the tunnel. Made me feel pretty damn good

Just wanted to post, I really don't think we are over this issue yet, but we certainly made some real progress this weekend.
