    DefaultFriday's Agility Trial Recap....

It was a very WET day. And the temperature continued to drop as the day went on. It poured rain during our FAST run and our Novice Standard run.

Ruger had a beautiful FAST run, got a 1st place and Q. In FAST you need 50 points to Q, Ruger collected 57 points in 30.81 seconds!!!

Ruger had an okay Excellent run. Physically and mentally he checked out (hey, he is almost 8 years old, and has bad hips, so I don't mind). He nailed his weaves! And did everything well, making all his contacts, but he crashed the double jump and went well over the course time.

Remington's jumpers run saw him go over jumps #1 and #2 and then the ring gating as he decided it was time to visit with Hutchie (a fellow student) and her dogs.

Remington's Standard run, he chose to do the tunnel first, not the first two jumps. He quickly came OUT of the tunnel and I started him on the course proper. He did jumps 1, 2, the A-frame, sailed off the A-frame, blowing his contact, and into the tunnel, played briefly and came OUT of the tunnel, over the dogwalk, sailed off it missing his contact as the other tunnel sucked him in, but he came right out of that tunnel as well and we continued on course. He did the rest of the course fairly well but blew off his weaves. We completed the course! He continues to be a work in progress

I have a secret weapon for tomorrow. I'll let you know what it is, and if it worked, tomorrow

    Yay out of the tunnel
