    DefaultMotives?

Just for grins and giggles, indulge me please.

Let's say you are a competitor in agility. You are at a trial. One of the competitors you normally compete with (she actually is running before you and is a no-show but you know she's at the trial) is missing. After your run, her dog is seen running loose on the grounds. You manage to catch her dog, and find its covered in blood. You and a friend take the dog back to the missing competitors RV, only to find that the missing competitor is not missing at all... but is dead inside her RV, apparently stabbed.

What sort of motive might have lead to this woman's demise?

Her husband did it because she spent every last penny they had for entry fees and dog food.

Hmm, and perhaps he took out a life insurance policy first?

YOU did it. Otherwise, if you were truly her friend you would have told the ring steward to wait because you knew she was at the trial.

Nope, too easy. He was insanely jealous of the dog. He actually was aiming to knock off the dog, but the wife threw herself in front of the husband as he was about to stab the dog and was killed . The dog is the only witness. Can the dog identify him as the killer? The handler had left a large inheritance to the dog should she die. So, the husband stands to gain a lot by keeping the dog alive, but he worries that the dog will somehow prove he is responsible.

Oh I think Pat hit it pretty close--I know how vicious people get on these forums! I know I've pretty much backed off of them! Or, another competitor did her in to take her out of the running for the Invitationals!!

So Linda is this a true or made up? It's too weird.

Actually the dog did it cause he was tired of having to run all these agility runs to stroke her ego! He really wanted to be an obedience do and learn scent discrimination, signals, go-outs, retrieves, etc! LOL
