We got back into Akron around 7:30 last night. What a fun weekend! We got to spend time with Linda and her crew and her Mom, meet Betsy and Stubby and go to a wonderful show.
Caleb did manage to take first place in Open B on Saturday (no points though) to my surprise. The judge called the OTCH Lab and the one who is almost there back into the ring. So I figured we had third place. Everyone got a good laugh when he called us for first. Ok, I could never play poker! Sunday he went down on the long sit. Plus we had an auto finish on the broad jump but without thinking I made him come front. He tried to move again and the judge came up and asked what I was doing and I explained the problem we have been having with men coming behind him into his space and he let me work him through. That was wonderful! We'll see what happens now.
Utility--well, we didn't have go-outs either day. For some reason he was really worried there. My boy who gets work on confidence all the time just would not go. Interestingly enough on Sunday none of the Utility B dogs qualified-they all kept looking into the breed ring. Got to wonder what some of the dynamics were that they were picking up on. One dropped the bar, one followed his owner in on the signals. Oh well. I'm pleased with some of the attitude we're getting in Utility. Sunday our run felt sooooooo good. We lost 4 points on what the judge called Caleb being slow, but he was trotting and it's his normal speed. Other than no go-outs we only lost about another point so I can say I was very happy over all. Still would have liked that Utility first place though. It'll come.

I think you and Caleb did a great job! He's a good working dog. I'm so glad you came down for the show, and I was so hoping you'd get your Utility first. Maybe next year (Although I hope he get's it before then, for your sake!!)
