Yesterday I took Miles to his a run through held by my dog club and did open for the first time. It was outside so very distracting but overall, I thought he did pretty well.
In our first run, his healing was very good and that is always our challenge. The second, not so good, but by then the sun was pretty hot and the heat always wilts him. It seems, for now, I need to use voice command for the drop on recall. Our second run through, was much better with that. He did great on his out of sight sits and downs. A little sniffing on the down but it was grass. The thing he really hasn't seen enough of is the broad jump. I just bought one and it came on Friday!!
We will be trying open at Youngstown All Breed on 10/25 and they are having a run through this Tuesday so I will take advantage of that since aglity class is cancelled this week.
