    Happy New Year all!

Our "big" goal this year is to get a CD but I have decided to start Miles in agility classes this year to keep things interesting. We went up to the training center last night to meet the instructor and we will start in his "pre-agility" classes on January 22. He said we could do his beginner class but recommended the "pre-agility" class since we (really I) know nothing about agility, even the terminology. So, square one is where we begin.
He commented that Miles is a nice dog and that he sees good leadership-then he added my leadership he means me, not the dog. He thought we'd do fine and he's happy to have us in class. He was able to see enough with us just interacting while I had a conversation with him. That was so nice to hear.

Poor Miles was so excited to be there after a month off (you should have seen the smile!) and he was so sad (or confused) when we didn't get to work! I tood him home and set up a jump in my living room and worked on a few things at home.

I am really excited to start agility classes!

That is wonderful! I know we started classes at our building this week and all the advanced dogs seemed really happy to be back. Nice break, but nice to be back to work!

You are going to love agility! Once you start sequencing, you will be hooked. There is no turning back. This is your only warning

Uh Oh! I think I am in trouble.

Sequencing?? Hmm, this is a good example of why we are starting in "Pre" agility. LOL

Sequencing simply means running more than one obstacle in a row... you know, putting it together and start running little courses.

I know when my students start to do four obstacles in a row, they think they are on top of the world
