DefaultWent to a teacup dog agility trial with Peanut today in NY...

Anyone ever been to one of these? debjen? Andrea?

It was fun! And so cute, all the itty bitty equipment, LOL! It sure presented it's own challenges though, lots of obstacles to get over in a tight tight space.

They had cool games like "black hole", "tunnel snooker" and "mute agility", the latter having taught me a lot about running the minpin. Basically, I need to shut up. Seriously. She ran like a champ with me silent, best run of the day.

She Q'ed in all five runs today, two standard and three games, earning her her Teacup Games 1 title. She won all but one of the classes for her jump height/level (came in second), kicking some serious American small dog a$$.

It was exciting to actually have competition, up til now we've always been the only one at our jump height in our level.

Anyways, if those of you with smaller stature agility pooches ever get a chance, check it out!

    FABULOUS

    I'm green with jealousy

I'd LOVE to bring teacup to Ontario actually - have been in touch with them many times .. but never made it to a trial ..
I think the challenges are quite different - gives us a sense of what running a BIG FAST dog might be like eh?

    WELL DONE PEANUT!!

Awesome! Congrats to Peanut on all those Q's and titles!!!
And yes, a lot of folks could run agility much quieter, I think the dogs pay more attention when you say nothing, versus when you chatter the whole way.

Didn't Bud Houston start the Teacup Agility?

I have no idea, Linda, lol!

We were sort of invited to this one at the last CPE trial, and I wanted to check it out. I didn't even know such a thing existed!

I'm pretty certain he did. I remember him telling us about it at a seminar I went to that he did for our local club.
