    DefaultRaw feeding?

I started feeding the pups raw this week, and I noticed the last few days Sassy has been throwing up.

I feed them 1 raw meal for breakfast I Natures Variety Patty (chicken)
with some veggies and spoon full of pineapple, (I read sometimes they
eat there poop if you feed raw)
and at dinner time they get dry Innova EVO chicken/turkey Formula
and I mix in ever a spoon of yogurt or pumkpin.

The last few day when Sassy has throw up I can see the veggies and plus there is grass in it.

My question is do you think her tummy can't handle the raw and she's eatting the grass because her tummy is upset or
do you think she's throwing up because of the grass only?

When she throws up it's at night way after dinner and we don't
put anything on our grass because of the dogs.

And Mugs is fine I havn't had a problem with him.

I think you might wanna give your pup some digestive enzymes. Ask the dog raw feeders on here about em. Let see, I raw feed my ferret and I know that they had upset tummies the first few days after we switched, but it went away once they got used to it. Ultimately unprocessed raw is easier to digest, but perhaps your pup is used to digesting processed kibble and thus the tummie issues cduz he/she isn't used to how to digest raw. Hang in there, it'll pass. She could be eating the grass to settle her tummy. I don't know if dogs do that, but cats do.

Hmm....ginger root helps with nausea, do you dog raw feeders know if that would help the pup in addition to digestive enzymes? Sorry, I raw feed my ferrets but I'm in the process of learning about raw for dogs. I wish I could help more

I have been feeding raw for 4 years now and I still have to give a digestive enzyme with each meal. It isn't a big deal to do that.

Silly question but where do you get "digestive enzyme" and what's a good brand to you use?

I think it can be found in the pet section at your local organic foods place, but I could be wrong. Yellowboysmom, where do you get yours?

I actually carry some at my training center. I use In Clover's Optagest for Caleb. Before I found the In Clover product, which I really, really like I used Ark Natural's but they were very hard for me to get. I someone is interested in the In Clover products and there is not anyone in the area carrying it I know my friend ships and I guess I could too. Cause we vend at dog shows I know she has a "following" for the stuff and ships all over.
