Nick, I thought you meant the dog when I first read that.

I love this thread. I will be watching and reading with great interest to see how it goes, Randi!

I gave the boys 1/4 can of salmon tonight with their meal. And I didn't take out the bones this time! Baby steps!
Just make sure that you are not giving raw meat and kibble at the same time. Some of JL members feed kibble as one meal and raw as another.

I ended up switching vets. Went in with Caleb one day and he started in about how terrible feeding raw is and all this. Then he started on those who don't vaccinate. I just very quietly told him I had been feeding raw since Caleb was 6 months old and at that time he was perhaps about 3 or so. Obviously I ended up somewhere else.

I wonder why is this so hard. I called training club and talked to them about bringing two dogs to training and one of them to puppy class. I asked about vaccinations and said that I plan on only giving distemper to the puppy. They said:"so you will not give your puppy parvo?" with surprised tone in their voice. Luckily, they are a little bit ahead, and said that as far as my vet signs for it, I can go to this school ;D This brought me to thinking about how does it work with children. We don't have any yet, but I wonder if kids have to get a lot of vaccinations in order to go to school.

I'm in college and they still want a butt load of vaccinations in order to let me attend. They will actually put a hold on my re-enrollment each semester if I don't have all the vaccines they want. :
