They sure are great little critters to have. I NEVER knew they were so smart and so full of personality! The way they bounce around, the noises they make, its great!

Here are some quick links to videos of them:

Lugnut and Hendrix playing in there "dig box" (ferrets dig, dogs chew. you give chew toys to dogs and dig boxes to ferrets)

Samson playing with my cat Roxie May

Delilah playing with Roxie May (De is a PEANUT shes about the size of a rat [very small for a ferret]) turn up the volume and listed closley to hear her "dooking" and vocalizing! She is scraggly and balding because her adreniline gland cancer [a condition that occurs in 80% of american ferrets) causes her to bald, I still think she's beautiful though!)

    Hendrix grooming Samson

Samson saw my cat Roxie May roll down the stairs and decided to do it too!

Check out some of there pics/videos on their photo albums:

All videos are located on the very last pages of the albums.

Hope you enjoy! Ferrets are a blast.

Here is the rest of my "herd"

Lugnut (the baby of the family at 6 months old)

    Hendrix (8 months old)

    Samson (5 years old)

Delilah (7 years old, here tail is bald because she is dying of adreniline gland cancer and it causes her to loose and regrow her fur, poor thing)

    Willow (2.5 years old)

Weezie (2.5 years old, overweight (sigh) but you haven't lived till you've seen a chubby ferret!)

The kitties, left to right: Musashi, Genghis Khatt, and Roxie May

So thats the rest of my "herd" lol! Apollo loves each and everyone of them....well.....except maybe little Delilah. She DID bite him RIGHT on the nose the first time she met him (poor apollo!) She must have had a bad experience with a dog before I adopted her. Luckily Apollo just sat down and hung his head like "yes maam" I felt so sorry for apollo but at the same time I was HIGHLY relieved that he didn't attack her (i wouldn't have blamed him if he did). He is their "nanny" when they are making noise in their cages after "bedtime at 9:30pm" he goes into the guest bedroom (where there cages are) and 'woofs' at them like "settle down kids and go to bed!" its really cute! I LOVE this dog!

awwww thanks. My furkids sure keep my life fufilled and happy. There is always something new and funny every day! We got apollo a knuckle bone to chew on and apparently our little grey cat (Genghis Khatt) wanted the bone! Luckily apollo is a sweet heart and was like "ok little buddy, you can share my bone with me!" and I was like "No genghis! leave apollo's bone alone!"
So now apollo has his bone and genghis has a mini version of that bone! They sit next to each other and eat their bones! Little weirdo! He (the cat) also ate sams collection of bobcat skulls! Go figure!

As for the ferrets I was suprised that they weren't like guneia pigs or whatever. First of all they aren't rodents they are carnivores (that suprised me at first lol) They wear collars and id tags (just like the cats and apollo) they are all spayed or neutered, they also are all microchipped. In additon they all must recieve a canine distemper and rabies vaccination every year. They stay in their cage during the day (just like crating a dog, but bigger) and they are out of their cages for about 6 hours a day of "run time". 4 of the six ferrets eat raw (just like many of your dogs) and just like dogs they know their names, they know commands. Come (insert name), "prarie dog" (they stand up like a prarie dog) and roll over. They use a litter box (like cats) but don't actually bury their waste. They play fetch and chase the cats (just like lots of dogs) they go for walks (on a harness) and they wrestle with each other. They are little balls of mischief! I love it cuz its like a having a kitten/puppy for its entire 6-10 year life! They are so much like children also its scary (like the story i mentioned about Lugnut having a toy friend) or lug playing in the kids section of the waiting room at the vets office while apollo got his neuter stitches out.

Sigh....they are the funniest little ones ever! Im really lucky to have a multi-species house hold that interacts so well!

I think they are so COOOOOL! I am glad you take such a good care of them! You might be surprised when you feed your dog raw that he won't eat as much as you think. We have a freezer and get a really good deal on the meat we buy.
