Hi 15 week old black Lab is doing fine, eating her raw BARF diet, sleeping well, getting lots of exercise, and we love her lots and she is bonding with us great. She's not drinking much at all though and I'm thinking this is because her food is so moist. Is this correct? I doubt if her water intake daily is even one small bowl. She has 3-4 normal poops per day not too dry with no straining, and 6-7 pees.
We just had her out for a 30 minute walk following us down the trail on quite a warm, windy morning and she seemed fine but had her tongue hanging out...so when we came home I thought she'd take a drink. I even wiggled my fingers in her water to see if she'd be attracted to it, and called her over - but no she was not interested! Is this normal for raw feeders?
raw fed dogs do drink less.
The meat contains a lot of moisture, so she gets her water from there too.
Mine drink a good amount maybe twice a day and other times its two little slurps and thats it

It is my understanding that dogs fed a raw diet do not drink as much due to the moisture content of their food. I would still keep water available for the puppy at all times! If she is thirsty enough she will drink.

thanks a lot - sort of knew this but just wanted to confirm
I don't feed raw or know much about it, but if the moisture content is sufficient, they won't drink as much. If you are ever concerned just try to assess the colour of her urine, if it is dark it is too concentrated and could indicate dehydration. As well you could go to a health food store and get some PH strips to check how alkalined her system is.
