This seminar will focus on relationship games, ground work for sequencing, circle work, shadow handling, stays and recalls, positional cues, one jump work, front crosses, rear crosses, jumping and contact foundations.
Claudia Bates has been teaching and competing in dog agility since 1995. Her dogs, Kestrel and Giddy-Up, are currently competing in AKC and USDAA agility at the highest levels. Her dog, Giddy-Up was a semi-finalist in the 2005 USDAA Nationals in Scottsdale Arizona and a finalist in the 2006 AKC Nationals (held in 2007 in Sunbury Ohio). Claudia and her dogs have competed in AKC obedience; AKC, NADAC, and USDAA agility; and AKC, USBCHA, ASCA, and AHBA herding. In addition to teaching classes and private lessons, she writes a column for Clean Run magazine every other month entitled "Master Plan."
Only 10 working spots are available for this seminar with 25 auditor spots. Full payment must be received to reserve your spot. This seminar will be held indoors on sand/rubber mulch. Building is fan cooled. Water will be available for the dogs and a lunch will be provided. Confirmations will be sent out by email unless you include a SASE. Dogs are required to respond to basic obedience commands (ie: sit, stay come), not be dog or people aggressive and should be at the beginner level of agility.
