Hey I am wondering if anyone out there knows a place to try dock diving with my two Labs. Or a training that helps you teach your dog. I live in Southern NH but am willing to drive. I unfortunately do not have access to a dock. I would love to get some people together to do it!
You can get all the information you need at Welcome to - DockDogs.com
If you go to the site and then access the forum it will show all of the local clubs.... https://www.dockdogs.com/index.php?o...smf&Itemid=228
It looks like Seacoast Dock Dogs the only club in the Maine/New Hampshire area... Seacoast Dock Dogs - Home
Hope this helps!
Hey Thanks. I have tried to contact them but not heard back. I appreciate the tip!
Hey I am in Goffstown NH. So not to far away I go down to Fitchburg all the time to visit a friend so that would be perfect. I really want to try it out but my pup may be a little scared at first. Can you tell me were. If you would rather email it my email is [email protected] .
I think the little one would have to see the other dogs doing it and then she will have fun joining in.
Thanks so much!
There is a dog park in Groton, MA, right off 225...it's not a fenced in dog park or anything...it's just a large (very large) plot of land that someone donated to the town and specified it to be used for dogs. The Nashua River runs right along it. There is a trail that runs right up to the Groton School and there is a dock there that they use during the school year for crew practice.
I live just a few towns over from Fitchburg....maybe we could try to meet up at one of the state parks in the area-they're BEAUTIFUL!!
And there are quite a few areas along the Nashua River for dogs to swim and jump off the banks into. Maybe you could try that with your little one first-sort of ease her into it? My girls will leap right off the banks into the water...so if she saw them, maybe she'd follow suit?
