DefaultPOSTPONED trans help needed, sorry never done this before

    Transport Help Needed:
    Saturday May 1, 2010
    Nashville, TN to Pittsburgh, Pa
for 9 Labrador puppies age 10 weeks.

(Please let us know if Sunday May 2 would be a better day as either is open at the moment)

There is a litter of 9 Lab puppies we are trying to help rescue from a very bad situation in Nashville, TN. The pups are 10-11 weeks old and reportedly the product of the owner’s two unaltered dogs that are apparently kept outside.

The pups ARE NOT BEING CARED FOR AND THE OWNER HAS STATED TO PEOPLE SHE JUST WANTS THEM GONE. THESE PUPS HAVE BEEN LEFT OUTSIDE AND APPARENTLY FENDING MOSTLY FOR THEMSELVES.

A rescuer in the area was given 2 of the 9 pups and has been trying to help get the rest to rescue. She is willing to get them rounded up and ready to travel, but can not transport.

We are desperately trying to get them from Nashville, TN to Pittsburgh, Pa. We are shooting for this weekend of May 1, 2010 or May 2 if we can get it filled.

Please feel free to cross post this to anyone you think might help! PLEASE DO NOT POST THIS ON CRAIGSLIST

IF YOU CAN HELP IN ANYWAY, PLEASE CONTACT Laura Fine at 412-295-0047 (leave a message if you have to) or [email protected]

    Hi,
I cross posted this in our Odds and Ends section here, gets alot more traffic.

The pups are 10-11 weeks old and reportedly the product of the owner’s two unaltered dogs that are apparently kept outside.
Can someone call animal control on her and have the adults taken away? This really pisses me off....

We ended having to post pone this because w were missing 3 key legs. We couldn't fill Elizabethtown, Ky to Charleston, WV last weekend but we had a ride for them from Lexington to Pa this weekend ironically.

Now Im just in an absolute panic for these babies because of the floods in Nashville. I cant get a hold of anyone that knows anything and the lady that was helping us has got her own hands full trying to save her live stock and her dogs. She can't even get to Nashville because the road there is basically gone and has been closed.

She said the waters are finally receding but we know this owner didnt care about them before the flood, she left them outside, they have never seen a vet, they were still feeding off momma at 11 weeks old, and were running all over the property at their will. I just cant imagine her going out and rounding them up to save them from the rising flood water and I cant imagine any of them made it through the flooding...

    Hi!

THank you for the cross post.

I know that at least 2 rescues down there know about these dogs. I tried contacting the one to see if they could help and they never replied. I also know Im not the only person who contacted this rescue.

From what *I* understand A/C was contacted as well as the humane society. However, it doesn't appear that anyone other than Georgia and myself are trying to save these dogs and its hard for me to do so when Im in PA andat this point, even if I drove down....the area is still in such a bad state Im told... Im not sure I could even get to the location they are at.... I hope they are all ok.

Im forced to wait until Georgia gets her own farm situated and can ge over to Nashville again and check on them. Georgia seems like a nice person but shes a busy person and she got involved rather but no choice, so she doesnt have to help but shes trying and I dont want to push her too hard ...or I might lose the help shes offering.
