DefaultEukanuba Large Breed Puppy Food/Wet or Dry?

i have a question, my 8wk old chocolate lab is on Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy Food and forgot to ask the breeder whether to wet down the kibble or not? What is the consensus from everyone here?

I brought her home today and both times i fed her I gave it to her dry and she ate some both times not the whole thing mind you but some but she was eating one kibble at a time, should I make it easier for her by wetting it?

    thanks in advance!

I wouldn't, at 8 weeks she should have no problems eating it dry.

Baloo didn't finish his food for the first few days he was home, and that's the last time it's ever happened!

ok! i was thinking if she had any trouble eating dry i would moisten it for her but she seems fine.

i know how they love food so i'm sure her nibbling will end soon.. LOL

I feed my kibble w/ water over it... it's not to the point of getting the kibble soft, but I do it more to float it, and make sure they get some water w/ their meal. Anne

Maybe to the top of the kibble. The water also helps if you are adding any digestive enzymes or other powdered supplement (like alfalfa, MSM, etc). Some feel it helps slow down a dogs' eating too. I've just felt it was healthier. Ever eat way too many potato chips w/o drinking something? :death: :embarrass:

i wet down her food this morning and she puked it all up. Either i gave her too much, actually maybe she gorged. When she gets up from her nap i am gonna try it dry and half portion of what i gave this morning which to me didnt look like much. She has small stainless steel bowls.

since yesterday she has also been doing this gagging thing when she is napping or sleeping at nite nothing but very little clear comes up or nothing at all. I can't make out why or what is causing this.. I am concerned. It doesn't phase her, she goes back down but being a new furmama I am worried.

    any ideas on this?

    thanks

Is she a fast eater? She'll maybe learn if she snarfles up some kibble the wrong way again!

You may want to try soaking it for a couple minutes first. I really don't like dogs inhaling their food... scares me! And yes, reduce the amount.
