Hi everyone. Our puppy got his first injection on six weeks (yesterday). We have noticed that he is not so energetic today as he was before the injection. However he still drinks his water and eats his food. Is this normal that labs respond like this after the first shot
I'm confused, did he have his first shots with his breeder and this is his second shot?
Ask the breeder if the puppy had a reaction to his first shots, some dogs do.
Nope this is his first shot he received
Why do you have him then? He's too young to leave his litter.
But to answer your question, yes, sometimes shots can make pups mopey for a bit.

Yes, puppies can have reactions to shots. My Jed did not have a good reaction to his rabies shot.
Just curious where you got this 6 week old puppy from? Most states don't allow breeders to sell them that early and shelters normally don't place them out that young either (especially without shots).
Thats strange cause this is not the case here.Ill follow it up with the breeder. However whe went to the vet the same day when we received him. According to the docter the puppy is very healthy.
Huxley is 100% today...thanx for all your help
