I was just wondering if you guys think it's too early for Miss Milly Moo to switch to grain free? We switched her to Innova adult 2 weeks ago when her puppy formula was finished and did a 4 day gradual switch but she's been getting really gunky eyes ever since. Do you think she'd be ok even though the bag reads to switch after 12 months?
We've only got Innova EVO here in Australia.
There is no way I would give a young dog anything that has that much calcium, so I would say no it's not okay.

Ive been buying alfie gluten free but im not sure if thats the same thing, tbh i havent seen much of a difference in him but ive heard too much grain can be bad?
According to the makers of EVO it is not safe for a Lab under one year of age - too hi in calcium at 3%. According to them a dog should be at their adult weight prior to feeding EVO.
We waiting until 10 months - 1 year before we switched from Nutro puppy to Orijen. No ill effects here. My lab was 60 lbs at the time and now at 2 years old, he's 65 lbs, so I think he was pretty much at his adult weight at the time.
How old is yours?
I had Abbey on Innova Evo right around when she was 1 year old. It didn't work for her too well and it was a bit pricey so I wasn't too sad when the store stopped carrying it. I switched her to Taste of The Wild which works well for her.
Here are some other grain-free dog foods: http://www.dogfoodproject.com/index.php?page=grain_free I checked on the TOTW website and it looks like it's only available in the US, but perhaps you can find some of these other kinds to eventually use?
Good luck.. I hope you find something that works well with her!
EVO states not to feed it until they are 18 to 24 months old...so no.
