Oscar has been gnawing on his back paws for the past few days and I was just wondering if he is trying to take care of something on his own. Is this a sign?
So is my choco lab. She has been chewing at her feet for the last week.
Probably allergies for this time of year but not sure what to give her or do. She already takes hydroxyzine due to her MCtumors.
Hope someone has some ideas for us.
Just washing the feet off every time he comes inside can help wash off the pollens and molds that stick to the feet.
and thats why he chews his paws?
Could be. All you can do it try it and see if it helps.
Shane will chew his paws in the Spring and Fall (he's doing it now). He doesn't do it a lot, but enough for me to notice. I rinse his paws with cool water. I haven't had to do more than that yet. I assumed he did this because of mild allergies. My own allergies are at their worst in Spring and Fall.
