    DefaultEye snot\bad odour

Rufus has a wierd smell about him. Almost like body odour. It comes back almost immediately after a bath and can't seem to shake it. If you smell his coat it does not smell.
Is it possible that the odour is coming from his eyes? He always has eye snot in the mornings, which we wipe away as soon as he wakes up.
Also we use the heart worm and flea drops on the back of his neck. Could this be causing it?

    Thanks.

Check to see if it's coming from his mouth -- it may be an infected tooth or gum. Since it's not coming from his skin, I think a trip to the vet is indicated soon.

Not his mouth. Normal dog breath as far as im concerned,
    Thanks for the link though.
I really think it might be his eyes. We have had him checked a couple of times and even have eye drops for him.
Maybe a return trip is in order.

If you've had him to the vet and he still has eye discharge with an odor, get him to another vet. How often are you bathing? Labs don't really need baths and frequent bathing only dries out the skin/coat and can make skin worse where it would smell.
