DefaultEVO and ORIJEN Feeders....past or present

    A few quick questions:

    - Which food (specifically)
    - how much did you feed a day,
    - how much does your dog weigh and
    - how active would you say they are?

I feed both EVO, both get a cup twice a day. Rider weighs 83lbs and Rookie weighs 85 lbs. Moderate activity, depending on the day.

Just started...might not be of any help. We have three dogs (70, 84, & 87 lbs), each get 1/3 cup canned am and pm and free choice dry.

    Thanks!

I was feeding EVO and noticed a difference in energy level (noticeable obviously). After three + weeks there was no improvement (and the weather was cooler than usual). So I thought maybe I wasn't feeding enough but when comparing to Orijen (which he did well on) he should have been ok. He was also not pooping regularly (or on a different schedule at least) and was pooping MORE (thought good consistency).

Rocky was getting 3 cups a day plus treats (his weight remained good)

Huh. My dog's poop less on EVO. I put Rider on EVO to sustain a consistent energy level. That is really interesting.

Goes to prove foods react differently with different dogs. He does very well with Orijen which is a good food so we'll stick to that....I might look at other foods to rotate with but only if I find others (grain free) that work for him. I'd love to try tatste of the wild and welness core.

There is also a new line of Evo coming out (new food) so I may give that a try as well.
