Does anyone give their labs vit c supplements and if so are chewables ok?
What are your reasons for supplementing?
If you google vitamins essential for dogs you'll end up with several references such as this
which says Vitamin C is not essential for dogs, they make their own.
If you're feeding a good food, that would have the essentials.

Yes, I had read that article..my 10 month old has had a recurrence of cystitis and I was recommended to use vit c as a supplement
Have you tried cranberry capsules? Vitamin C can be tricky. Don't give Ester-C in young dogs because of the calcium. Does your dog have an INNIE OR AN OUTIE? If female, that is. My dog gets vitamin C, but I just throw the pill on his food and he eats it. He also gets cranberry capsules, same thing, just toss it on his food and he eats it.
I give Deacon Vit C because he was having some PH problems with his urine. I buy these http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...9&pcatid=15239 from Drs Foster and Smith
