My foster dog has had the squirts for a couple of days. My dd, who did poop patrol, "thought" she saw a worm in her stool.
She's been a little lethargic today and voluntarily spent most of the day in her crate. She usually sleeps in the livingroom. I'm going to "inspect" her poop tomorrow.... :scare:
tapeworm segments look like grains of white rice, typically you see them in the butt area, on the hair, not in the poop. other types of worms can sometimes be seen in the stool, but there usually is a VERY heavy infestation for that to happen.
IMO you should bring a stool sample to the vet's, be sure to request total worm testing, usually tapeworms are not included in a standard test.
Roundworms look like angel-hair pasta.
