Buddy is now 7yrs old so my vet suggested blood work for everything which he has never had so of course I did it so my bill of course was way higher 265.00 so is this recommened every year from now on I figured as long as he is doing well every few years would be ok opinons please she also suggested is should now go on Senior food my boy is getting old :surprise:

I don't think the bloodwork is a bad idea, as it's always good to know where your at. But I don't see anything wrong with doing it every two years or so, if that's your choice.

I took my dog in at 7 this spring, and the vet didn't even recommend doing bloodwork for him. Hmmm. Someone later suggested this was something I should have asked for. He's got to go back in for rabies in August, so I might ask about it then.
For me it's a coin toss....yes, I want to know if the dog has health problems I can overt now with proper care so that he's around for as long as possible. But I know I won't be doing it every year. I'll probably do it for a baseline, and then every few years.
