My baby girl has started limping and I feel two soft fat knots under her front leg. I know I need to take her to the vet and I will but I need to be ready.
Can someone please give me good news on this, such as fatty tissues or something I can bear.
It really could be any number of things.
My dog growing up developed lipomas - which are just what you described, collections of fatty growth in lumps. One was under her arm, one was on her flank. We never did anything about them, and they never really got huge. Of course, if the one under her arm had interfered with her gait we would have had to have it removed, but it never did.
Otis - the most trusting dog on Earth.
That is a common area for fatty lipomas, but I would still get 'em checked out, just to be on the safe side.

Peanut - 7 year old minpin

Breathing much better now....thanks to all
Oona has one under her left foreleg. More than likely the one in your dog is benign but you won't know for sure until its checked out. If it is benign leave it alone unless it hinders her walking.
Her limp is pretty bad. Has anyone ever had to have them removed?
If its affecting her gait I would have it removed, but a lot of times they just come back.
