I saw Dr Fosters has the big one for about 150$......
Im determined to get Dale down to 85 pounds and itd be easier if I could keep track of his weight at home.
If you own one, where did you get it?
I don't own one, but weigh both of them regularly. I just get on the scale, record my weight, then pick them up and get on the scale holding them (one at a time, obviously). Subtract my weight from combined weight and voila!
It's getting harder with Baloo, but I can still do it relatively easily.
Baloo - 5 year old black lab
Peanut - 7 year old minpin
Monster - 3-ish year old frenchie/jack, rescue
Heck no. If I want to know how much one of the dogs weighs I take them into the vet and use theirs for free.

We do the same. Our vet doesn't mind one bit.Originally Posted by labby

Dale urinates on himself at the vet so I wanted to minimize stress.Originally Posted by labby
I do that with Molly....shes still 53 pounds...Dale is closer to 96 pounds, so that wont work without hurting both of us heehee....but I noticed hes gotten leaner, I can see his hips, so I was looking into purchasing one and keeping a log of weight/food consumption/exercise and getting him a little healthier.Originally Posted by Baloo317
I can take Sammi by the vet or petsmart anytime. So no need for a scales at home!
Where I get Jes's food has a scale too. I always plop his 33lb (or 40lb depending on the food I'm buying) bag of food on the scale to see how close it is. I guess I'm operating under the assumption that a 40lb bag of food normally has 40lbs of food.Originally Posted by dipete
