    DefaultDog food for post surgey

Hi Everyone, My lab Maverick had surgery about 5 weeks ago to remove a ball from his intestine. Every time I try to go back to his regular food, about 2 cups twice a day, he has a problem pooing. Could someone recommend a inexpensive can food that he may be able to digest a little better then the Nutro dog food he eats now.

Others may have direct experience with this - I have never had a dog with a blockage - but I would at minimum soak his food so it does not enlarge in his stomach/intestine and perhaps go to feeding 3 times a day.

Or make him up a chopped cooked or raw meat mix for food until he is 100% again. Cheap canned food is not really the way to go - tons of fillers in that.
