    DefaultNew Food.....New Problem!

Okay, I started my two on Purina Pro Plan Select Natural Lamb just 4 days ago and they are both shaking their heads like their ears are bothering them.
Can a new food do this so quickly ???
It was $33.00 a bag for 18lb bag plus shipping and it was said to be soooo good. I quess I'll try the other brand I bought and see what it does. It is Innova EVO large bites.
See, I've had them on pedigree so long and I know it was causing them problems, but this may take awhile to fix :-\

Yes a new food can do that this quickly. Have you looked in the ears to see if there is gunk in there?

Also, where do you live? Spring allergies are creeping up here just this past week. My little guy (shizu/cocker mix) was scratching at his ear and sure enough; gunk in there. Then my two yellows started licking this week. Have not licked all winter and only do in the fall and winter months.
As labby said, check their ears and see if there is gunk built up. I wouldn't totally write the food off completely...maybe try chicken rather than lamb.

No gunk found in their ears but I did forget about the spring allergies. I went ahead and put them on Innova EVO yesterday. I'll see what happens now. I read were that is a very good no grain food. Thanks for the input

You have to go very moderately on it...you can't feed the same amount you were feeding on Innova EVO as you were on anything else. Rider only gets 1c. two times a day otherwise he'd gain weight like no other. Cut back.
