I read this on another forum and apparently there are quite a few complaints about Canidae foods. I just switched from Wellness to Canidae. Anyone noticed issues with this food?
Well, looks like I will be switching back to Wellness. My dogs did great on Wellness, but I saw that canidae was cheaper and came in bigger bags. The biggest bag of wellness you can buy is 30 lbs....and I have 3 dogsOriginally Posted by Jinx
Shane has been on Canidae since a puppy, no problems so far.

My dogs were on Canidae Life Stages for 2 years and I didn't notice any issues. However I switched to Fromm's just for a change and now I noticed that my dog Brewster doesn't fart every time he stretches out, ha ha! So, yeah, gas must be a problem with Canidae
I tried Biscuit on Canidae a couple of years ago. It ended up giving him the "itchies" and a few hot spots. He never had them before or since I took him off it.

Henry ate Canidae (ALS) when he was younger... briefly. It totally disagreed with him and he had the most horrible gas and poops. :-X
I used to use this food and my dogs did great on it up until (I think its been about 3 years ago now). I noticed the kibbles looked different and also had a strange smell to them, then all of my dogs stated blowing coat. I quit using it after that and haven't tried it since.

I've fed it for 9 yrs, no problems at all. And with 6 labs, I'd know if there were gas leaks!
