    DefaultNEW LAB/BUMPS ON THE HEAD

Our newly adopted boy Riley is a rescue boy. When we picked him up from his adoptive parents he had raised places (like bumps) on his head and a few on his legs. The fur is darkened in these areas. They don't seem to bother him as he doesn't try to scratch at them. The foster mom said her vet said they were hives because he was stressed. He seems very relaxed and is adapting well to his new "forever" home. My vet who is a skin and allergy specialist said she has never seen anything like this. She gave us some antibiotics and said she hoped it would clear up. Has anyone else heard of this? Our other two Labs never had this problem. I would appreciate any input or experience that any of you may have had in this area.
    Thanks
Char - Mom to Buddy and Riley
