Defaultyear old lab developing an udder????

i have noticed over the last few weeks my pups udder is getting bigger especially her last two teats are quite prodominent now and seem to have a lot of inflammed tissue build around them that is getting bigger. shes not in pup she had her first season oct/nov time so if she did somehow accidently get caught which is very unlikely i would have a belly of some sort by now?? shes not in any discomfort and has no discharge and no milk or discharge from the teats when milked any ideas welcome??
    thanks in advance helen

No expert here. I just went through something similar. I didn't know what was wrong with the dog. My advice. See a vet, stop guessing. If it is nothing, you willfeel better knowing. If it is something, you cantake appropriate action.

I wonder if she's having a bit of a false pregnancy. Or sometimes, just like teenage girls, bitches will develop a bit in the mammary department after a season. Your best bet is to have her checked by the vet. Then spay her.

The timing would be about right for a false pregnancy but not sure why she would show inflammation. I'd have her checked by the vet. -Anne
