I just found an interesting site. Don't know how legit it is, anyone else seen or heard of this site, or know anything about the legitimacy of the author's writings?
He's advocating a raw diet....no big surprises there.

He has written one specifically for Labs. I don't know if it is a Raw diet or not. I am making the assumptive statement that his diet approach may be raw or cooked, but reads to me more like home prepared. Am I misunderstanding this or the use of Raw diet?
I purchased this a long time ago and was very disappointed. Nothing really new in what he has here - sorta like he scanned a couple of lab sites and put the info together in one convenient place. IMO, not worth the cost and certainly nothing you couldn't get by doing a search on this site.
The book you purchased, does it contain recipies?
That has been around for awhile. Most feel it's BS. Remember, anyone can write any article they want and say it's fact without having to back anything up. He says things have bee PROVEN, but he doesn't provide sources and studies.

I'd be weary of this - what exactly are this man's qualifications? He's not a vet, not a nutritionist, worked in pharmaceuticals (no qualifications there really) - and honestly anyone can publish a book. I'd talk to a vet or veterinary nutritionist if you feel your dog isn't getting what he needs.

I just happened to stumble on this site today. Did not know how reliable it was.... that's why I posted it here...
Yes, there were recipes but nothing really special or practical. I got it 3 or 4 years ago. When it came in the mail, and I opened the envelop, I got that sinking feeling like I was ripped off. Not a real book, it looked more like a high school term paper. It was either bound with those plastic wire things or just a staple in the corner. I had the urge to get my red pen out and start marking up all the errors. It just seemed like he just discovered a good way to become a millionare using his computer at home. The contents really didn't matter. I will say one good thing about him - he is great at marketing an inferior product!Originally Posted by YellowLabProject
So? What makes Labs require different things nutritionally than say, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers or Goldens?Originally Posted by YellowLabProject
Anytime you see "just for Labs" you should assume it is a marketing gimmick (ie, Eukanuba Labrador).
